The Top Five Golf Courses in Pennsylvania

If you are planing a golf vacation to the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania this summer, I would like to introduce some good place for your game. This region has multiple courses to choose from, the following are the best golf courses in Pennsylvania as far as I know.

First is the Fernwood Resort Golf Course, the Fernwood Resort is located in East Stroudsburg. It features an 18-hole, par-71 golf course with three tees and a slope range of 115 to 125. Its rating ranges from 63.3 to 68.8. A pro shop is onsite. Based on my experience, holes 11 and 17 are the most challenging because of the water hazards. The most economical time to visit is weekdays after 2 p.m. Green fees tend to start at $29.

Then next is the Shawnee Inn Golf Course. If you ask me, the Shawnee Inn Golf Course located in Shawnee on Delaware is one of the most picturesque and well designed facilities in the Poconos.

It is a 27-hole golf course that partially sits on an island in the center of the Delaware River. Slopes range from 121 to 128. Ratings range from 69.7 to 72.5. Green fees start at $19, and the best time to play is weekdays after 3 p.m.

Then the third one would be Woodloch Springs Golf Course. As we know, the Woodloch Springs Golf Course is located in Hawley. It is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course with a slope rating of 139. I've always found hole 14 to be both visually stunning and difficult. In order to conquer it successfully, you'll need to get your golf ball over a 220-yard gorge. Green fees range from $25 to $45 per person .

The Fourth one will be Glen Brook Golf Course.

The Glen Brook Golf Course is located in Stroudsburg . It is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course with three tees and a slope range of 122 to 125. Its rating ranges from 69.2 to 70.9. For me, holes 5 and 14 were tough. Hole 5 requires an uphill shot into the wind and hole 14 is fraught with hazards. Watch out for McMichaels Creek. It's where I've lost a good number of golf balls over the years. Non-member green fees , with a cart included, start at $36 per person.

Then it comes to our last golf course---Hideaway Hills Golf Club. The Hideaway Hills Golf Club is located in Kresgeville. It is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course. Hole 4 can be a bit vexing thanks to a few wickedly placed sand traps. So can hole 5 with its blind spot and water hazard. Green fees typically start at $25.

Pennsylvania is an amazing place to play golf. And many golfers like to take a golf vacation with their families or friends there for the beautiful scenery and clear air, and the good moutain golf courses also make them want to go there have a vacation. All the above five golf courses are the best golf courses in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. And I wish you can have a good time in your golf vacation.

Technology eases migraine pain in the deep brain

ScienceDaily (Apr. 30, 2012) ? Migraine pain sits at the upper end of the typical pain scale -- an angry-red section often labeled "severe." At this intensity, pain is debilitating. Yet many sufferers do not get relief from -- or cannot tolerate -- over-the-counter and commonly prescribed pain medications.

Recently, a team of researchers that includes Dr. Marom Bikson, associate professor of biomedical engineering in CCNY's Grove School of Engineering, has shown that a brain stimulation technology can prevent migraine attacks from occurring. Their technique, using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), applies a mild electrical current to the brain from electrodes attached to the scalp.

"We developed this technology and methodology in order to get the currents deep into the brain," said Bikson. The researchers aimed to tap into the so-called pain network, among other areas, a collection of interconnected brain regions involved in perceiving and regulating pain.

Professor Bikson and his colleagues, including Dr. Alexandre DaSilva at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and Dr. Felipe Fregni at Harvard Medical School, found that the technology seems to reverse ingrained changes in the brain caused by chronic migraine, such as greater sensitivity to headache triggers.

Repeated sessions reduced the duration of attacks and decreased the pain intensity of migraines that did occur on average about 37 percent. The improvements accumulated over four weeks of treatment and they persisted.

In pilot studies, the effects lasted for months. The only side effect subjects reported was a mild tingling sensation during treatment. Professor Bikson expects that a patient could use the system every day to ward off attacks, or periodically, like a booster.

The team's computational models show that tDCS delivers therapeutic current along the pain network through both upper (cortical) and deep brain structures. They will publish their results in the journal Headache.

Thirty-six million Americans suffer from migraine, according to the Migraine Research Foundation. Of these, 14 million of them experience chronic daily headaches. "The fact that people still suffer from migraines means that the existing treatments using electrical technology or chemistry are not working," said Professor Bikson.

Existing brain stimulation technologies can help relieve a migraine already underway. But those afflicted with chronic migraine pain may suffer 15 or more attacks a month, making treatment a constant battle.

The other techniques also have drawbacks -- from heavy, unwieldy equipment to serious side effects, such as seizures. Some only stimulate the upper layers of the brain. Others reach deep brain regions, but require brain surgery to implant the electrodes. The tDCS technology is safe, easy to use, and portable, Professor Bikson said. "You can walk around with it and keep it in your desk drawer or purse. This is definitely the first technology that operates on just a 9-volt battery and can be applied at home." He envisions future units as small as an iPod.

The next step will be to scale up clinical trials to a larger study population. A market-ready version of the tDCS is still years away. "There's something about migraine pain that's particularly distressing," noted Professor Bikson. "If it's possible to help some people get just 30 percent better, that's a very meaningful improvement in quality of life."

Real Estate, real estate agents | as3z net

Real estate includes land in all the forms. These forms of land include land such as trees, water, and permanently attached items to it which includes fences, building and among others. The term Real Estate is directly related to land. It is used widely in the context of retailing, offices, manufacturing, housing, farming, worship, houses and among others. We could include all the activities related to the property under Real Estate. People who are involved in the real estate sector aim to value add the land by developing it or adding structure to it. These tricks are to enhance the value further of any given property. Since ages the Real Estate Sector has existed however in the recent few years the Real Estate industry in India and across has witnessed boom. It has grown as a second largest employer. With its revenue close up to US $ 12 billion, it further aims to grow estimating up to 30% per annum. The statistics above proves that the Real Estate sector is emerging as an important source of income in the economy today in India and across. The Real Estate sector has provided employment not only in the field of Real Estate but also to various other fields like; developers, constructors, architects, designers, landscapers, engineers, market researchers, financial analysts, construction workers, sale & leasing personnel, and among other fields that are aligned or work closely with the Real estate sector. This proves Real Estate sector as a boon in today?s economy providing employment to various people who specialize in the relevant field. However strong the Real Estate Sector is which is proved from the above data, it has its own flaw. The Real Estate sector proves to be sensitive to any fluctuations in the economy in India or across. The slightest of the fluctuation, can either create wonders or hazels for this sector. This is due to the simple fact that complete transaction of the property is directly depending on the common people who in turn are affected by the fluctuations in the economy of a country. In spite of the flaw mentioned the fact remains that the Real Estate Sector is the second largest sector growing in the Indian economy. It strongly aims at the expansion of the land by developing various office buildings, hotels, apartment buildings, or houses in any particular area. While talking on the job opportunity the Real Estate sector has provided opportunities and with the major responsibility lies on the Real estate consultants and Real estate agents. They aim to provide a complete solution to the investor and new clients in the field of Real Estate. The increasing progress in the field of Real Estate and various constructions the end-result of the Real Estate sector is to provide the space being well constructed for sales and lease, impacting the complete transaction of the property. Thus Real Estate sector proves to be a boom not only to the people but also to the economy of the nation.

The Wanted Apologize To Christina Aguilera, Sort Of

'We shouldn't have said it,' says Tom Parker of group's calling singer 'scary.'
By Gil Kaufman

The Wanted
Photo: Derek Storm/ Splash News

Sometimes, sorry is the hardest word to say. That's the tough new celebrity lesson learned by The Wanted member Tom Parker, who got hit pretty hard by Christina Aguilera's fans last week after he went on a New York radio station and tore into
"The Voice" coach, calling her a "total bitch."

After dropping the b-bomb several more times and claiming that the singer-turned-reality competition judge refused to look at or speak to the British lad band, fellow member Siva Kaneswaran added, "she was quite rude."

Well, Xtina's fans were not impressed and started flaming the group, and two days after dissing her, Parker walked the comments back a bit, according to TMZ. Caught by the gossip site's cameras outside Hollywood's Mondrian hotel on Sunday, Parker said, "We shouldn't have said it, to be honest with you. We just think manners cost nothing, you know what I mean? The rest of the judges were really nice, and she didn't even walk over to us and talk to us. We apologize for the comment."

Told that the original dis was all over Google when the Wanted's name was searched, Parker shook his head and lamented, "I know!" During the original radio appearance, The Wanted were also asked to compare their interactions with Aguilera on "The Voice" with an earlier meeting with "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez, when Max George planted a kiss on J.Lo and then the boys openly pined for her hand in marriage backstage. And, as you can probably expect, they definitely preferred one experience to the other.

"[Aguilera] was a bit scary, to be honest," George said. Then, when asked about smooching Lopez, he laughed: "Yeah, well J.Lo's hot, Christina's nothing special."

Where is John Cena "going"?

John Cena is tended to by medical technicians after his Extreme Rules Match with Brock Lesnar

After emerging from last night?s Extreme Rules bout against Brock Lesnar victorious, a battered, bruised and bloodied John Cena addressed the WWE Universe in Chicago. Following the war he went through, Cena said that he might be ?going away for a while? ? something that set off speculation about the meaning of The Cenation Commander-in-Chief?s future. (PHOTOS)

Medical technicians rushed into the ring following the brawl to tend to Cena, who was favoring his left arm. Lesnar trapped him for several minutes in the Kimura Lock, launching an attack on multiple joints as he wrenched away on his arm and wrist. Could the damage from the dangerous submission have left a lasting mark on Cena, who may have realized right then and there that it will take?him out of action for some time? Was Cena alluding to this in his Windy City speech?

There could also be repercussions from the fallout. Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and General Manager of Raw and SmackDown John Laurinaitis was forced to bend to all of Brock Lesnar?s demands in order to get the contract signed for Sunday?s match. That included declaring Lesnar the ?new face of WWE" ? a?face that was surprisingly defeated at Extreme Rules. With an angry Lesnar presumably on his way to Raw SuperShow (Starring Brock Lesnar, per the Superstar mandates?), Laurinaitis may be looking to punish the Superstar who threw a wrench in his plans.

Or were John Cena?s words simply that ? words? Was his post-match statement?just a matter of general recovery? Both Superstars were the worse for wear after the final bell Sunday night, especially Cena. The Cenation leader may need time to recover from the incomparable beating he received at the hands of Lesnar in order to get back in the right frame of mind for competition.

Doctors are running tests on Cena today ahead of Raw SuperShow from Dayton, where both Cena and Lesnar will be in attendance. What is in store for these Superstars? Tune in tonight at 9/8 CT on USA Network to find out!
